Default Your First Comic Book...

What was your first comic book? If you can remember, the one you first laid eyes on. The one that made you the comic book geek you are today!

Amazing Spider-Man #136 was my first and, as a kid, I definitely treated it that way. I read it and looked at it over and over and over until the cover separated from the book. If John Romita Sr. wasn't such a great artist maybe I would've put it away and left it alone!

I would also have to go with the Archie comics.

However, X-Men and Fantastic Four were the two that got me into seriously collecting comics.

Incredible Hulk #324, the return of the grey-skinned Hulk. My mom bought it for me in a grocery store . . . I can picture the store vividly, where the rack was located and everything, but for the life of me can't remember the name of the store.

Superman. I don't remember what they were exactly. The cover had the emblem cut in it with the next page containing the image.

I don't remember the #, but I got a Secret Wars issue of X-Men awhile back.

I actually just got back into comics recently and was hoping to see some comics threads here. I dropped about $330 on X-Men stuff this month and I'm planning the same for next month. I'm determined to get the majority of the runs of the main X-Men comics through a variety of hardbound compilations and trade paperbacks.
