Default Region Coding HELP!!!

Hey guys/girls,
Was wondering if some could explain this to me. I've just got a blu-ray player and its region 4 (Aus).

I want to buy dvds from Amazon but its telling me that the dvd might be a region 1 disk. Is this just a warning that pops up on all dvds at Amazon.
I've read some region coding review and people are saying that its region free. So does that mean that if i get that movie from Amazon i'll be getting a region free one? Or am i unable to get movies from there?

That would suck cos movies are so expensive at the shops.

Someone please help........

Thanks heaps!!!!! I just had a quick look and your site looks awsome and it will help me out so much. Im so glad i'll be able to buy dvds from amazon now.
Thanks again.

Just acouple more question in regards to your site?

1) If i click on the region B tab and some of the dvds say there locked that means there looked to region B correct?? So i can still watch them?

2) If on the rigion B tab and a dvd says its locked but it has a picture of say germany or usa i'll it still work on my rigion B australian player?

3) Its just the ones that are in the region A that are locked that i cant watch. Is that right???

Sorry these are probably stupid questions but i just want to be 100% clear before buying a crap load of movies.
