Default Playback Issues

I'm having a little issue with playback. Every once in a while the video gets a little choppy. It's not extremely bad and only seems to happen on fast scenes, but it would be really nice to fix. So far it has happened on The Dark Knight and Tropic Thunder. The CPU usage seems to stay around 60% but from what I've read, people report near 0% CPU usage when decoding is done by the graphics card. Should I expect this as normal or can this be fixed? I'm using TotalMedia Theater. My setup is:

X2 4600+ 2.41GHz
8600GT
Windows XP SP2
LG GBC-H20LI
2 GB Ram

I've updated to the latest firmware from LG and have the latest Nvidia driver that I just reinstalled. When I uncheck the purevideo option in totalmedia, it becomes unwatchable so I know the gpu is taking the load, but shouldn't it take all of it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
