Black 2 by Criterion Games in 2009? - Blu-ray Forum

Well Today is big on new stuff for 2009, so here's the article:

Many may think that the Criterion Games if thinks only in cars and motorbikes but certainly some who remember with appreciation the work of this company in the FPS genre, ie Black.

One who was for many one of the best of its kind in the previous generation may be about to win sequel because at the official website of Criterion Games is possible to see listed Black: Second Mission scheduled to launch in 2009 and designed for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Soon new information should be disclosed and we will wait for an official confirmation, even if the information was obtained on the website of the producer.

I never played Black, but always wanted to get it, all I hear are good things. So what do you guys think?

Black was one of the best "real" shooters to ever come out before COD 4.

Hopefully this one won't fall under that dreaded 6-8 hour window.

i played this on my ps2 and it was pretty fun. the last level was pretty brutal.

BLACK was an truly excellent FPS. One of the rare games that felt and looked next-gen ahead of it's time.

It was a good game but way too short. After the ending cutscene I was like that's it? I was expecting more

Ahhh, Black. I remember the day when I wanted it. Too bad it didn't have online multiplayer. It would've been epic. I am almost certain that Criterion will develop Black 2 with the PS3 as the lead platform, as they always done development on the more powerful system since either Burnout 2 or 3.

Hopefully it hits before the COD5 hype train builds up more steam...it would hurt its sales for sure...

Black was one of the few games that used real people in the cutscenes, and, it turned out great! I liked the premise and setup of the game...really good storytelling.

I loved Black, and ever since i played it wished it was on a next-gen system (bought it about a year and a half ago). If they make it as relatively sweet as it was on the PS2, we are in for a nice treat!
