Default Criterion Games (Burnout) developing new Need For Speed

Just thought I'd clear that up! (seems many still don't know)

Our favourite game of the year was probably Uncharted 2...

Awesome! With Burnout-esque physics and hardcore speed, I'm starting to think Need For Speed is going to be a great competitor amongst other racing games.

Maybe they have heard my cries and are making a NFS hot pursuit with out all the riceyness of the current NFS games. Kick ass racing, OEM cars, awesome crashes, and running from the man. Bring it!

All I ask for is to include local two player this time (the only thing that kept the last Burnout game from being perfect).

It will be interesting to see what they do with a different brand name.

Need for Speed Underground was the last game I thoroughly enjoyed in the NFS series. I just want racing. No crazy storyline, no useless acting and cutscenes. Just good old fashioned high speed racing.

I thought Shift was pretty good...until you started tuning cars. I think they fixed a lot of those issues though.

I'm looking forward to Criterion handing the next NFS game though. Might have to dust off my copy of Burnout Paradise.
