Post Developing for BD-J

I'm a Java developer and author with a heavy media background and I'm interested in learning more about BD-J development. I don't see a public SDK available and the specs at http://www.blu-raydisc.info/spec/spec.htm , aside from costing $2,500 (which is kind of high for us one-man shops), don't mention anything about BD-J. I realize I'm early, but I'm very interested in seeing what you can do with the J2ME provided by Blu-Ray. And hey, someone has to be early... might as well be me this time.

BTW, I'm not talking about authoring. I'm aware there have been some announcements of SDK's, but those are aimed at content developers. I'm interested in talking to BD-J itself (hey, maybe I'll write an authoring environment on top of it...)

Thanks in advance for any useful feedback!
