Default Sony 550 or Panny 55?

What do you guys think? I need multichannel analog, other than that just interested in general concerns, PQ, AQ, loading times, upconverting, etc.

Circuit City is running a deal on the Sony for $350 + 2 movies. Best I've seen for the Panny is about $340 (although I'm waiting to see if prices change tomorrow).

Give me your vote and reason, please...thanks.

The Panny 55, it can send out HD audio while also sending out secondary audio, they Sony only sends out the standard DD & DTS with secondary audio. From what I understand. A good person to ask about all this is BIslander... like the Guru of the BDP's.

Fair enough. Waiting to see if anyone has a sale tomorrow, but then I'll most likely be putting in an order.

The two are very similar in performance but I went with the s550 since it looks better, has a better remote control, and most importantly it's made in Japan.
