Default Speaker Positioning?

Hey guys, I just wanted to know what are the disadvantages of placing front bookshelf speakers sideways since they are to tall to put then in my wall unit.

sounds like playing pool with the sound..... maybe not the best direction

to be honest if I were you I would put them on the middle shelf next to the tv then they are spread out more from the center and also you can stand them up

If you are talking about the ones in my gallery, I'm taking them out. I just bought a pair of sony ss-b3000, not high end but in my budget... Sorry, i didn't give all the details.

dun... I must have taken a dumb pill this morning..
I thought you were going to point them to the side..
not roll them over on their sides..... duh....
