Video: Is posterization the same thing as color banding? We watched this last night and after reading Chad's review just now I'm glad to know that I wasn't seeing things last night. I never noticed it in the skies but def. saw it in the underwater scenes. This is a very good transfer but not perfect as many reviewers would have you believe.
Audio: Of course Warner screwed us on the audio. Extras: Minimal. The scene they finished up for home video with Steve Irwin looked like they didn't put 100% effort into it like they would have if it were going into the film. Not terrible mind you, just noticeably less than the feature. For as few extras as there are it's pretty sad that they couldn't do them right (high def, good audio). Warner's menus suck. They are incredibly frustrating. Mainly curious what others think about the video quality. |

Of Course because it is VC-1 lower compressed equally to HD-DVD,
What if it is encoded in MPEG2 or AVC higher bit rate? the answer will be different. For the time being its good. But i prefer Open Season and chicken Little over happy Feet. For the Audio part this is another experience if it is done using PCM soundtrack.. If these Two criteria have met togother we will have BD better by hundred miles than its counterpart done on HD-DVD.Just again i blame you Warner for Replicating an inferior Format based on HD-DVD only. I like BD when it is using its full Power,,,,,,,,, Higher Bandwith and PCM soundtrack Real examples are what SONY AND DISNEY done latey with their latest Releases. |

Strangely, Happy Feet is generally regarded as the highest quality BD available - picture quality wise.
This was quite high on my list. |
