Have never listened any of them, but the CS700 looks nice in person.

Well, if you don't want the outdated technology of HDMI or Toslink and want to go with those cool new red/white RCA cables then the Bose Cinemate is for you!

I think all of those systems are overpriced for what they are. Who really needs another DVD player these days? You can get a really good one for $60 at BB.

You would be much better off buying an entry level receiver, a good subwoofer and a pair of speakers then picking up a cheap DVD player somewhere.

$1500 for the Denon is a complete waste of money.

Assuming you will connect your BD player directly to your TV, you can get an ultra-inexpensive stereo receiver w/remote control and some decent speakers, without a sub, or use a sub with speaker-level inputs (although I've never been a big fan of speaker-level inputs on a home theater sub).

I only suggest this because since you are only interested in 2-channel stereo, you could use the analog L/R RCA audio outputs from your BD player to one of the line-level inputs on the 2-channel receiver.

There are some very inexpensive 5.1 receivers still available, too (around $200) which will have a dedicated subwoofer (LFE) out. You could put together a basic 2.1 system with small Polk Audio R150 main speakers (such as the ones used in my surround channels - see my gallery) and an inexpensive Polk Audio PSW10 sub all for way less than $500. In this case, you can still use the analog audio out to a line-level input on the receiver, or go with an optical or coaxial digital connection and tell the receiver to run in 2.1 mode. Easy way to do it, and you'll even have the ability to "upgrade" it to a more robust 5.1 bedroom system later if you'd like.

Try the Onkyo HTX22HD. It's an AV receiver with built in subwoofer and is upgradeable to 5.1 (standard setup is 2.1)

http://www.eu.onkyo.com/products/HTX-22HD.html

Lovely piece of kit. Its a little smaller than a PS3 which is hard to tell from the screenshots (check my HT gallery)

Goes without saying, it sounds fantastic too.

Unfortunately the answer is in your question. Probably isn't worth the hassle to be honest, what with expensive shipping and the small matter of Euro/US voltage differences.

Do you mind if i ask why 2.1 instead of 5.1? I have 7.1 in my generally small bedroom. Honestly, throwing some speakers on the wall really does not take up that much room.
Oh well. I really cant recommend anything. Sorry.
