Is there anyone here that at one time had a Blu-ray player and downgraded to a DVD player? I did and I can't really see the difference.

Well to see a difference you need a big TV that displays 1080 horizontal lines. My feelings are a bit in-between, while I can see there is indeed a difference, I would say it is not the super big difference it should be. (except in Pixar animations and the likes).

You either:
1) Don't have your system connected properly 2) Don't have a very good TV 3) Are sitting too far away from a small screen 4) Have very poor eyesight or 5) Are trolling and trying to start trouble There's no valid reason for anyone to claim they see no difference between BD and DVD. |

Blu-ray laptops - 1920x1200 screens, also a 42" 1080p HDTV.
Yes, there is a difference if you are connected properly and are the proper distance from whatever display you use. Also, why would you swap out the BD player? ![]() Blu-ray Disc players play DVDs fine. |

I had enough trouble watching Journey to the Center of the Earth and not having HD audio (stupid Warner). Unless you're not using an HDTV the difference between Blu-ray and dvd is clearly obvious, and if you have any sort of decent sound system the difference between HD audio and regular audio is very clear.
