What is the object of a 4x Blu-ray player vs. a 2x or 1x when it comes to watching movies on an HD TV? I mean, I understand that a the 4x would write faster, but how does it affect the ability to read data for movies? I am guessing that if I were using it on a computer to install some sort of program, the faster drive would install faster, but again... how does a faster drive effect movie playing?
