Already POTC got 5/5 for PQ AND SQ but it is AVC Higher Bandwith rate from 35 mbs to 40 mbs the average is ,As a result, it should be far away better than a HD-DVD called Matrix.IF there are a true UNbiased person neither with BD or HD-DVD sure POTC will be the HD of the year Number One.

Sure Matrix will get 5/5 from Biased websites

It's due for blu-ray later this year, for some reason the format neutral WB always releases titles on HD-DVD first..!!??

It's a pain. If they are truly neutral all their titles should be out on both formats at the same time, this would also help to see which format is shifting more of the same movie.

Wow 8 posts in 14 minutes (I barely had time to hit the REFRESH key, LOL). Mine is #9.

I can't wait to get this trilogy on Blu-ray. Not only did it get a 5/5 PQ and 5/5 AQ review, but just wait for the BD release. It's going to be stellar.

*Maybe Warner is being paid to delay the releases on BD. (HEHE just a thought to think about)
Even though we know it's the IME, and PiP stuff they're working on I believe...

I just hope that when Warner finally releases The Matrix on Blu-ray they treat it with the same care as they obviously did with the HD DVD version.

The whole blu ray vs hd dvd thing has me worried now. Two months ago I was convinced that blu ray would out right win in around a year's time and ther wouldn't be too much outlay for people, eg, too much expensive equipment shelled out.

However, with sets like this being HD DVD exclusive (for the time being) and the new dual layer, DVD one side and HD DVD another, I am starting to think this format has something up it's sleeve after-all.

Anyone else feel like this?

Is it possible we could have two formats with all releases coming on both?

no. if there are two formats, the only loser is the consumer, who would be confused as to which to get.
It will take to much for hddvd to win over fox and disney.

Of course The Matrix got a 5/5 from Bracke.

We should see a 4.5 for POTC. It's SOP for that place.

I really don't mind the delay so long as the BD version is not simply a port of the HD-DVD version. Hopefully WB is going to do a BD specific encode for this with LPCM. If they do this, I buy all 3 (even though the second was mediocre and the 3rd worse).

I got both on Monday, from the parts I have seen, all 3 Matrix and both Pirates deserves a 5 for 5 for picture.

As far as sound goes, not really tested the Pirates, but the Matrix is amazing, I heard stuff I never heard before, it is 100% better then the DVDs.
