Default Japan prices on blank media outside of Japan

I lived in Japan for a few months, and BD-R / BD-RE media is much more reasonable priced there. I actually stashed a bunch of BD-RE 25 gig discs before I got on the plane back to the US.

By cheap, this is what I mean.

10 pack for around $40.

Here in the US, it seems to be so much more. I'm wondering if there is a place that will ship them from there at a reasonable rate or anywhere that can match those kind of prices.

Occasionally, Frys has them on sale.
Right now, about $5.99... if you buy several in a package.

Yeah, I get DVD-9 in japan for like a quarter of the price in europe -- europe is totally nuts when it comes to blank prices.

I bought BD-R and RE from mediamegamall.com for less than $4 and $8 respectively a few months ago and I see they still have them in those price ranges right now. They were Memorex discs but they worked fine in my LG burner. Mediamegamall.com also has good prices on shipping and I got the discs within 2 business days using ground.

Watch for sales!
I have seen 10-15 packs where each piece ends up ~$3.84 or thereabouts.

Too bad I'm always broke when these sales are going...

Last week, there was a $49.99 spindle - just about $3.33(I think) per piece.

DL? You and me both!
