I don't understand the comment about the format not being finalized unless he's talking about the audio profile 3.0 or some speculative incorporation of 3D or Deep Color. |

The only group of people with less understanding of technology than those who write for Tom's hardware are those who comment on posts at Tom's hardware.
Since their article says essentially nothing, I followed the link back to Digitimes... which is equally nonsensical. They start of talking about the price of the Samsung BD-P1400 at Walmart (which no Walmart I've been to currently carries, and isn't a current model) and then says... "in a related note" and talks about the price the BD-P1500 (the actual current model) in Taiwan... which I'm not sure how relates to the U.S. Also, according to the article, Samsung sets Walmart's price for products... which, neither I, nor anyone who has ever heard of or been to a Walmart knew before this moment! </sarcasm> Hypothetical: Even if the premise of your article is correct, if every single fact in your article is wrong can you really claim that you've correctly reported anything How do these writers have jobs? Well, I guess the article is correct. Opened up an Audiotronic's flyer today (Eastern Canadian retailer) and they have the BD-P1400 featured for $299.98.
