My answer to a ? like this is generally "All of them".

Regardless, I'd really like Star Wars, but that looks further off. Anything Kevin Smith would work for me.

I don't think I've mentioned Gladiator as something I'd snap up for Blu-ray. Now I have. Come on Dreamworks!

I still remember seeing that movie on a screen 200 feet across. There will be no grain.

Good choice, that darned HAL will freak me even more.

I know it's not a classic but I really can't wait for Vanilla Sky. I love that film and my friend's husband was the cinematographer on it. Plus Penelope Cruz will look even more gorgeous in HD.

American History X isn't good enough to be considered a classic.

what exactly defines a classic? I think it is an amazing film that when you see it changes the way you think about something. or a story that you can just get lost in. american history x was an amazing film. as a person in the punk scene (having dealt with both racist and non racist factions of skinhead culture) the movie sucked me in and left me thinking about some of the boneheads (1 faction of racist skinheads) that I had, lets say, ''had problems with''. (don't start an argument about skinheads here I was just giving the reason why I see american history X as a classic)

if ''classics'' is simply meant as OLD films then just say old.

some old one's i'd like to see are:

once upon a time in the west
the quiet man
ten commandments
ben hur
lawrence of arabia
outlaw josey wales
citizen kane
chariots of fire

and some classics that aren't old:

hunt for red october
american history x
lock stock.....
snatch
braveheart
slc punk
gladiator
the wind that shakes the barley
pan's labirynth (probably wrong spelling)
batman (michael keaton)
edwars scissorhands
lion king
finding nemo (best pixar movie by far)
