Question Bourne or X-Men

I know this is apples and oranges compared to one another, but what is the better box set to buy if you could only get one: The Bourne Collection or the X-Men Collection? I'm trading in some old dvds tomorrow, and would like to get one or the other.

Yep that's a tough one, I have both sets on DVD and will not double dip until I find a sale or buy used - That's my story and I'm sticking to it

i never understand these questions...which movies do you enjoy more

if you haven't seen either, i think bourne overall is a stronger set, but xmen comes in close. if you can afford bourne, i'd go bourne.

Ditto!!

That's all you need to have said. But I think it just boils down to wanting to start a new thread, just for the sake of starting a new thread.

I agree. It depends on whether you like comic book movies or spy movies better. I would pick Bourne just based on the movies. X-Men may be a slightly better complete set as far as content, but Bourne still packs enough content and I think it is an even stronger trilogy than X-Men. You can't go wrong with either though.

I agree with what's already been said. That being said, however, for me it's Bourne hands down. I own both, so I obviously like both, but Bourne is just an all-around better package for me. I feel the sound is mixed better, and any of the three are better than the first X-Men in PQ (haven't watched the others yet). In fact as I type this credits are rolling on The Bourne Identity. It's seriously a top-notch package that I enjoy watching over and over.

X-Men I mostly got because I like the first two and they're super-hero movies, which my kid is very into right now.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either, but to me the third X-Men movie is really lacking while I feel that each Bourne movie is pretty strong (camera issues in #2 non-withstanding).

x-men definitely. a far better trilogy than bourne. even if the third bourne is better in ways then x3. bourne got old quick for me. way too overplayed.

Okay, I getting a lot of feeback saying go with the movies i like more. What I meant to ask was which is the stronger package in terms of AQ, PQ, and extras. I've read all the official reviews on this site, but wanted to get some feedback from the actual consumers.

i believe they are nearly equal in PQ/AQ/Special Features...therefore, I would go with what set of movies you enjoy more since i think they are tied in regards to technical specs and features. they each contain a great amount of extras with awesome transfers.

Cool

All 6 films are great, but I would go for the X-men because of the visual and audio treat you'd be in for (according to reviews here on bluray.com)

Also I just looked at these two sets tonite at Wallyworld, and the X-Men set is $30 cheaper.
