Hello,

for a research I am searching for companies which are ONLY produce and develop in blue ray technology.
I mean companies which do not f.e. produce DVD-Stuff. The should only produce or research for blue ray technology.

I am sorry I don't know this information... but I am also curious to know which companies pretty much specialize in Blu-ray technology.

I have seen the list of the companies that manufacture recorders and media disc and they all look to be very well diversified (which makes a lot of bussiness sense) but at the same time, there must be a company out there specifically creates a component that is used universally by all these companies (likely used by the manufacturers of recorders).

anyways, if anyone knows this information *cough* Moderators *cough* hahaha... please post. thanks!

To my knowledge there are no companies that only produce Blu-ray related products as of yet. Once Blu-ray is a common item in households around the globe then I think you'll see some new companies dive in with their own production. Right now it's just too costly for a company to even consider being only Blu-ray and nothing else.

that makes sense. Right now it's still not official and can only be afforded by the big companies.
