Not me. If you haven't seen it yet you're in for a treat. SO much better than s1.

No mention of it, tho over at www.thedigitalbits.com there's mention of season 3 coming to blu. I don't know what the story is there. Seems rather odd.

I was also wondering that, I know the S1 is still available but there is no sign of any S2 set anywhere

yeah i think there's a mix up - i'm not sure if season 3 will have aired by then - though the trailer came out at the start of February.

Courtesy Digital Bits -

Warner Home Video has set Torchwood: The Complete Second Season for release on Blu-ray Disc on 7/7 (SRP $79.98). This will be a 4-disc set, including everything that was available on the previously released DVD edition.

I have to say I was rather surprised that there wasn't one commentary on the S2 set. I don't know about the UK release. That was a little disappointing. I'm curious what the specs will be for the BD. Anyway, preordered at Amazon for $55-something, instead of 79.

Yeah, I was curious about this series because of the great reviews and I wanted to check out the British perspective on things, but I read that it may not be for some people because of the alternative sexuality stuff. I do like the ladies for sure but I do respect everyone's choices in life also. Meh, I could always rent it first I guess...who knows...

Surprisingly, the BD set (4 discs) has more supplements than the DVD set. Approx 8 minutes of out-takes and approx 20 minutes of deleted scenes. These are, however in MPEG-2 SD (as are the Declassifieds and Declassified "special" The Life and Deaths of Captain Jack). Being as the additions are so small, you have to wonder why they weren't on the DVD release - especially if the deleted scenes were split and included on the same disc as the episode they related to rather than being shoved on the last disc as in this case.

Ditch that - I see the DVD set did have those extras too.

Sorry, but no commentaries.

When you say SD, is that PAL SD or will they play on a Region A player? (it's not 50Hz like Wallace and Gromit either is it?)

2 Entertain have generally been region free, but better safe than sorry!

Click on a thumbnail to see full image. You'll see the sticker has come from the DVD version as it has the DVD catalogue number on it. There are 4 discs as it actually says on the pack rather than the sticker which is on the outer shrink wrap.

Extras play back at 720 * 480 @ 60 Htz isn't PAL 520 line?
Not sure if that helps anyone work it out. I only have a UK PS3 to play it back on so can't test on anything else.

Thanks for posting I presume the first series boxset is the same format and look good together as a set!
