With the announcement of Back to the Future finally, other than Star Wars and Jurassic Park what popular trilogies have yet to be announced or released on Blu?

I don't think they've announced Indiana Jones yet.

I haven't heard an announcement for Back to the Future or Indiana Jones. It's a quadrilogy (or tetrology) as opposed to a trilogy, but there's still no Alien box set either.

This was the only thing I could find on Back to the Future. It is listed as a rumor.

Back to the Future and Jurassic Park in 2010

Edit: You beat me to it!

Indiana Jones... but supposed to be coming this year.
Evil Dead... need the first movie in blu
LOTR extendeds... gotta wait til Hobbit. Sigh.
Star Wars... but I won't get them if they don't include the untouched versions. If Lucas contunes to be fixated on the special editions, forget it.

My sentiments exactly. I was raised on Star Wars - the original versions - in the 70's and 80's. Those atrocities Lucas released in 1997 should be banned. I can't watch the end of Return of the Jedi with the different music during the celebration. It's awful.

i remember getting the star wars trilogy dvds for xmas, and being horrified when i realized (after opening them) that they were the special editions. it was one of those things where i just didnt have the heart to tell my parents how badly they effed up, it was already hard enough to make them understand why i needed the dvds after owning 2 different VHS versions of the trilogy. for some reason i never got the real versions so hopefully they dont actually release those atrocities on blu-ray.

I got the special editions for Christmas one year. The original versions were released a year or two later; I immediately bought them and got rid of the special editions set. I hope George Lucas is listening. Doubt it, though. Especially considering he was once quoted as saying it wasn't his fault that we all fell in love with half a movie, and that the special editions were his intended versions. Nothing like an F*** you to the fans, hmmmmm?
