Default Inconsistent Screenshots # in reviews of blu-ray.com

Hi,
For a while now I have been frustrated to the inconsistency of screenshots in the reviews.

Some reviewers post 20 screenshots, 19 -17 while some others post only 9 screenshots.

Why is there such an inconsistency?
I am really thankful to the reviewers that post more than15 screenshots. It gives a good preview of the bd.

Moreover, there is now one reviewer that post 3 pictures of the packaging (outside, inside and back). Is it really necessary to waste the screenshots space for those packaging pictures? As far as I know, we can seen the package at any retailer; maybe not the inside, but It does not matter at all.

I think the screenshots are very important to a review and blu-ray.com should standardize the # of screenshots or implement a minimum (15 for example).

Thus, I request that the reviewers that post 7, 9,11 screenshots increase the number to at least 15 and that the reviewers that post packaging pictures to replace them with actual screenshots of the movie (after all the link says Screenshots).

This is just a feedback/opinion/request from a member. No offense to anybody. Please don't get mad.

I agree that the more screencaps the better, but I don't think it needs to be standardized. The reviewers are individuals with individual styles. I also love to see the packaging shots.

Several studios have mandated we use 9 or fewer in a review, hence the discrepancy.

Okay. That makes sense now. Thanks Kiskiboy97 for the reply.

There were a lot of requests for these to be included in the reviews

You make one person happy and upset another. Reviewing is a no-win situation for the reviewer. We do the best we can with what resources we have. The process of reviewing and all involved in that endeavor is nowhere near as cut-and-dry as many people are led to believe.

If it's a no-win situation, why do you do it?

It's a good job despite the hassles.

Despite the issues that come along with the territory, I think most still appreciate your efforts very much. I know I do. I generally don't buy a blu-ray without first checking its review on this site. It's kind of a crap shoot if there is no review available for a particular movie though.
