I have the dual-disc IronMan, think I bought it at Walmart, and it was working fine with my Vaio AR-630E back in November. Went to play it last week and nothing - it's as if no disc was inserted. The same is true for disc 2. All of my other Blu-Ray movies play in the laptop just fine. There are no scratches on the IronMan discs.
It's not a software issue, because even Windows (Vista32 SP2) doesn't see anything in the drive. Nonetheless, to answer question, "WinDVD BD for Vaio" is fully up to date - just downloaded the latest key update from Corel last week. The actual drive hardware is "Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500A". So I sent a support request message via paramountbluray.com several days ago and haven't heard anything. Has anyone else had success getting Paramount to replace a bad disc? Any tricks or tips on getting their attention? |
