PS3 Disc Slot is empty, But it keeps trying to Read Nothing. Can't Insert New Disc.

This morning, we turned on our PS3 to watch Terminator 2, but when we tried to put something in, it wouldn't slot load it, you just had to push. Needless to say we didn't want to force it, so we left it be.

In the Top Right corner, those little swirls that indicate it's trying to read a disc or working are going on, but there's nothing inside, and when you push the eject button, it doesn't beep to indicate it's empty, but I know for a fact it's empty.

Any help out there? I tried googling, but it didn't work out very well. Thank you In Advance.

Power it down from the switch in the back, that should help you.

yeah...try turning it off and when you turn it back on put a disc in right away.
