Well today I mounted my new Polk 6750s on my wall in their respective places. I will be getting speaker cable tomorrow and will finally be ready to enjoy my first HD surround sound system.
However, I am horrible with understanding audio, so I have some questions with regards to my subwoofer. The manual gives me 3 setup choices, but I would only use either Option 1 (subwoofer cable) or Option 2 (speaker wire). Anyone with these speakers, how do you have yours setup and what sounds better? I have a brand new Sony STR-DH700, so do I get a regular RCA Y-cable to go from my receiver to subwoofer, or should I just run the front speakers through the sub with regular 16 gauge speaker wire as in option 2? Thanks! |
