I was wondering if there is a big sound difference between the cs1 and cs2?

So if you plan on using a CS2 you will need a large area to place the speaker at. Also the CS2 uses a pair of 6 1/2 inch woofers instead of the 5 1/4 inch woofers in the CS1. This means the CS2 goes much deeper in both special effects and in voices as well. The CS2 is a good match for the Polk Monitor 70's that have (4) 6 1/2 inch drivers for their bass and mid range. The CS1 is a good match for the Monitor 60's,50's,40's,and 30,s;since they are all based on 5 1/4 inch drivers.. Both center channels are incredible performers and perhaps the best center speakers for their price. So do not hesitate to add one of these awesome center channels to your line-up. Just remember you will need a good amount of room in order to mount the CS2. |

I went with the CS1 because the CS2 was so damn big. Going from the RM6750 set I about fell over when I pulled out the CS1, so I'm glad I did. The new CS1 is so tall I had to build a riser just so I could see my TV. I sit about 10' away and the CS1 does a fine job with the center channel audio.

Thanks!
I was thinking of buying the cs2 but its 3 1/2 inches to big for my cabinet ![]() aNd the cs1 is almost the same size as my cabinet So my next question is what should i do Buy a stand and lay it next to my cabinet ( if so from where (.com ) or just buy the cs1 ![]() ( I have a plasma so the stand fills up almost all my cabinet.... so i can't put the the speaker next to the tv or above the tv because its behind a window ![]() |

i have a CS1 and wouldnt change it for the CS2 my 5.25" drivers match my t90e fronts & monitor 30 rears why upgrade to a cs2 center that has 'lower sound' yet you still cut the hz off @ 80 across the board? i want everything to b perfectly matched, which it is in my setup. unless i bought monitor 70s, i would never consider getting a CS2......thats my opinion |
