HI, i have just joined this site so i am sorry for any mistakes. Ok first i need some help with my tv. I have a panasonic th37px60b plasma that can output 720p, and 1080i. I have a 60gb ps3 connected to it using a QED hdmi. Right here is the wierd thing, when i go to the display settings my ps3 says i can output 1080p. When i do everything works fine. Please help me.

First of all. Welcome to the forum.

Blu-ray movies can be played at 720p. 1080i and 1080p from the HD resolutions if your TV supports it, which you say it happens to do as of now.

If you are able to play 1080p from your TV via your PS3, you can play games and blu-ray movies at 1080p.

Whats the problem?

It appears your TV accepts 1080p input, and then shows you a 1080i image, as it's the maximum it can support. What's the point?

You can also make the PS3 output in 1080i, so the TV doesn't have to downconvert it in 1080i anymore... But that's more or less the same.. No?
