Darkman (1990) - Blu-ray Forum

A masterpiece.

The 1997 DVD version was very good. Then we got a terrific HD-DVD treatment (in terms of PQ), where Universal just did an excellent job with the remastering. NO extras as always.

Since the HD-DVD was a kind of bestseller, I bet they'll do a special edition BD filled with never-seen-before deleted scenes and documentaries.

This gem truly deserves it.

Why would they do a great package of extras for this film when they could not be bothered with it on HD-DVD. We will probably just get a release soon that looks and sounds the same. Will buy as I did like the film, but how was the sound?

I got The Darkman Trilogy DVD Franchise Collection (Darkman's 1,2,and 3)for $5.99 +tax NEW last year at Bestbuy, It also had free ticket code for Wanted of Hellboy 2 if remember correctly!

This is one movie i hope Hollywood redo!! I love the first one with Liam Neeson but didnt see the other ones!! I think it could be redone hella good these days!!! Well see if it happens!! I do however want the first one on blu-ray also!! Got Em!!

They made three of these? I had no idea.... Loved the first one, would love to see this come out blu.

By the way, the "sequels" were cheap DTVs starring Arnold Vosloo. Third one is the real charm out of the two.

The transfer sucks. DEBRIS and DIRT all around the place. If they will do the BD on this transfer, I'm out.
