Mine was from the East coast to the West coast. I swear they must have hand carried it for a couple days.

I just got a package from Italy after 5 days. Almost 2 weeks now for media mail.

I just have one of those bad feelings that it's lost.

It's not. That's just the way Media Mail is. Just be patient.

I think the last time I shipped something to someone else via media mail it took 14-16 days to arrive, from northeast Florida to Washington state. The last time something was shipped to me by media mail it was right at 2 weeks again before I received it and when it got here it looked like they used it as some kind of prop in some crash tests. Luckily it was just a box of old paperback books. I think I'm through with media mail. Pony Express could get stuff delivered faster. Or my neighbor's kid and his wagon.

It's strange. Generally when something is shipped to me via Media Mail, it takes the two or so weeks that most other folks are mentioning, but when I have shipped larger boxes with 15 - 20 lbs of DVDs to Wherehouse and DVD Planet using the service, they always get there in less than a business week.

Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it. It's coming from Washington to St. Louis, so I guess it could just be sitting somewhere.

My thought has always been that Media Mail is more practical from a cost perspective when shipping qualified items in bulk. Not sure why folks would use it for individual items.

Same here. Why use it when first class is cheap enough to send movies / games.

MM is Satan's little helper. Priority Mail or BUST for most items. First Class for movies and such if I buy them here or from Amazon market place.

That has been my experience also with Media Mail. Larger packages actually ship faster than smaller packages with it. I suspect it has to do with how the Postal Service prioritizes packages in transit and in what order they pack cargo holds. I have had to wait 30 days or more on small items that should have been sent First Class.

68 days to Hawaii!
It is coming by boat... never again Media Mail!

You know the messed up thing is that a lot of US mainland companies think it still costs more to ship here, like Hawaii is a different country or something.

Yes, FedEx or UPS charges are higher, however USPS is all the same, if I ship from NY to CA or from NY to HI costs exactly the same.

I thought it was supposed to be a cost saving alternative with larger packages, such as the box of 40 books my wife recently bought on ebay. It took 2 weeks to get here, but would have cost ALOT more to ship otherwise. I would never even consider it for a single blu-ray.
