Default Best way to calibrate a projector.

I just installed a Epson 720p projector and a 106" Elite Screens grey screen and I would like to calibrate the projector correctly but I am unsure how. I looked at all the settings and started to play around but I still think it can be better. Is there a software or book for projectors vs tv's? Any help is appreciated.

The best way is to get a professional to do it.

For you to do it yourself, I would suggest getting a calibration disc like the DVE HD Basics or Spears & Munsil.

Hey dolphin, which did you install first? The screen or projector?

I was able to get a free dvd with my proj- the Avia II calibration disk. Honestly, I have not had a chance to try it.

got pics?

I have the DVE HD but was not sure if the settings would be the same on a television vs a projectos but I guess I can try it. I just want it to look it's best, maybe your right and I should call a pro.

I installed the projector first and marked off the spots on the wall then installed the screen. It was not as difficult as I feared. I will take some photos tonight and upload them. The whole setup came out really nice, I picked up a nice Yamaha rec and added my Polk RM705 setup. The setting I ended up with looked really good on Blu but my wife and I watched Trueblood last night in HD and the colors were a little dull. I will look for that Avia II disc online and see if that helps. Thanks
