is this version region free and is it in english or subtitled in english only??

It is in English and Region-Free. Review is here. IDK if there are any english subtitles

It has both French and English DTS-HD tracks, and is region free. It only has French subtitles, not English. So if you speak English but are hearing impaired, you are out of luck.

Otherwise, go for it!
