Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I thought it was a better idea then starting a new one. Can someone tell me if PS1 classics downloaded from the US PSN will work on a European PSP (3000)?

They do but the PSP only plays PSN content downloaded with the last PSN account used to activate a piece of content.

So if you want to play a Euro game then an American game you've got to activate some content with the Euro account if you haven't already, then the US account when you want that.

Hopefully PSP account management will be updated to match the PS3.

Yeah like I would be playing a Japanese demo on my American PSP and then when I go to play an American PSP demo or just anything I downloaded from the American PSN store and it will say, "Can't access this game on this account" or something like that. Kind of annoying but at least it plays the PSP demos I have in English and Japanese. But it's nice to hear that the PS1 games work on any PSP even if it does mean you have to keep switching accounts.

I did notice that in the Media Go software, you can choose which country you are in and get access to the demos/DLC from that region. I haven't tried downloading any of it onto my PSP. Not that it would matter, because if the games aren't in English I can't read the text in them.
