Trying to determine the cause of "shimmering" that I notice on my 720p LCD. I have noticed this on DVDs and now BDs (unfortunately)
It's apparent when the picture contains close vertical lines or something like a chain-link fence that I just noticed in Leon The Professional BD (gorgeous PQ) I'm assuming it's not the discs because I also noticed this on The Patriot BD. One curious thing is I dont recall seeing any shimmering on Wall-E or Ratatouille BDs I suspected the TV so I changed from 1080i to 720p, no difference. It is 4 years old so probably 60hz. Sharpness is all the way down. Are there any other settings to try and what should I look for in a future TV to avoid this distraction? Mods can you change title of thread to "Shimmering" I wasn't sure if my post was going through since I'm a new member. Thanks Last edited by jpho3nix; 12-11-2009 at 02:26 AM.
