Default Polk RM650 Sub worth upgrading?

I have that little 8 inch sub from the Polk Rm650's. It does a good job for my little room, but i also have a 10 inch Velodyne sitting around that my dad doesnt use. Is it even switching, will i hear more bass? Thanks

I would use the Velodyne for a while and see if you notice a difference in sound quality. My guess is you will hear a difference. The Velodyne being more musical and tighter, with out the boomy-ness you might hear from the RM650 sub.

...unless there is a physical flaw to it.
