Default Question for you Blu-ray People??

Now that yall have blu-ray and HD tv's does it make you think twice about going to see a movie in the theater and waiting for blu-ray?? I have been that way since I got my new tv and ps3!! Thats why i havnt seen terminator, the new transformers, star trek etc.... I am also not gonna go see GI Joe!! But I see alot of u here still post that u go see movies at the theater!! Is it the same when a movie comes out on blu-ray but u seen it at the theater and its not as fun to watch?? What are yall thoughts??

I find myself going to fewer movies because I factor in that I will be purchasing many of these movies on blu, and don't want to waste money seeing it now.

certain movies i have to see on the big screen. no home theater can compare to a big screen experience for some movies in my opinion.

I go watch movies in the theaters for two reasons.

1. Because I wan't to watch the movie and don't want to wait

2. To save myself from future blind buys

What do you mean you people?!

I try to see more actually, since blu-ray is more expensive than DVD, I try to screen more movies through theatres.

I go to the theater much less now, and a big part of that is the great picture and sound of Blu-ray. I also find myself getting annoyed by people in the theater so most of the time I'd rather wait 4 months and buy the movie for what a ticket and snacks would cost at the theater.

I still go, especially summer time. IMAX is the way to go for clear images. I watched GI Joe at a regular theater and the PQ wasn't that great. Movie BTW was ok.

I try not to go since I rather own the movie, but my girl always wants to go out and watch it.

I wait for just about everything to come out on Bluray. By the time you pay for a ticket and snacks you could buy the movie, and watching it at home I don't have to deal with rude people.

If I expect to like a movie, I see it in the theater.

If I am iffy about liking it, I go during the week when it is half price.

If it looks like there is a change I'll like it but am not sure, I wait for the blu-ray/PSN download (like Knowing, which I ended up liking a lot)

I LOVE going to the theater and watching movies.

Thats exactly whay i havnt went lately! I was debating that I may go time to time but anything like a comic movie or great cgi or things like that I would wait for and go see sumthin like perfect getaway, the collector etc... sumthin u might not need to see off top on blu-ray!!

I go to fewer and fewer movies since I got my HT to the level it's at now (not to imply it's the best there is), but I still go see movies I expect to be really good. Sometimes I just don't want to wait for them to hit blu-ray.

I usually rent movies. Blockbuster has $2 daily rentals... so I can pick up 4 movies for $8. That's waaaay cheaper than going to the show. I only go to the movies when it's something that I must see asap.

I like going out to the movies. There's a certain ritual to it. I avoid the large multiplexes unless I'm seeing a movie that will benefit from great sound because that's where the clowns go. I prefer to patronize my locally owned theater (even though AMC is technically local).

Not all movies I see are Blu-ray type movies (i.e. action). On the contrary, most aren't. That said, unless your movie theater has really bad optics, a worn copy of the movie or an old sound system, pretty much 100% of movie theaters will have better presentation than home theaters when it comes to scope and power.

I don't blind buy anything, so I will only buy a Blu-ray I've first seen either through rental or in the theater. So Blu-ray is just the format I choose to see movies in that I haven't seen already. If I really like a movie I'll buy--or rebuy--it on Blu-ray.
