so I used to have a short story anthology of horror stories. And the final one I THINK was called "The End of It All" or something. Not the Stephen King "The End of the Whole Mess".

And in it it was about a man who used to be ugly but he had plastic surgery and looked handsome. So he goes to a reunion or something, and some woman that he always loved but she always rejected him, suddenly fell in love with him (because he looked good now).

But now he's falling in love with her daughter. And the mom and daughter are in this twisted game back and forth to one up the other for his affections.

Then there's a thing where

real twisted stuff. lol

I really want to find this story again, but can't remember the exact title. It was a novella sized story, so it may be available by itself.

Have read so many books that I could not remember whether I read that story or not. Anyway, you should try and look for the title of the anthology if you want to find that particular story ...

yeah I can't remember the anthology. I've been googling every variation of key plot points that I remember and can't find anything on the story.

Just remembered the daughter's name was "Kendra" and still nothing. I asked this on Yahoo Answers but nothing yet.

And I've searched for various horror collections, to no avail.

I wonder if there's a site that has a listing of anthologies AND the listing of stories in them.

I found the story.

It's called "The End of it All" by Ed Gorman. Featured in the short story collection "Dark Love". Just ordered it through Amazon. Good times!
