Default Size of the tv

Thinking about getting my first blu ray player but I've only got a 22 inch lcd tv in the room it will be used in as its only for bedroom use. Is there any point in this or am I wasting money here?

Is it a HDTV? If it is, blu-ray will look fantastic

Yeah it's a UMC 21.6" full hd ready tv.

Why will it look better on a smaller tv?

Playing blu-ray on a hdtv will increase the picture quality hugely, compared to say a dvd. As you tv is HD ready it will be able to show off blu-ray very nicely indeed. Sure, a bigger tv would look better, but all in good time! If all you have now is a 22inch then it shouldnt hold you back from getting a blu-ray player.. it will look great, no matter the size!

Getting a Blu-ray player now is never a bad idea. Even if you didn't have an HDtv. Now, as far as the tv size goes, it all depends on how far you sit from it.

You will see the benefit of Blu-ray over dvd on it but you will have to be at around or less then 3ft* maybe for it to be easily noticeable. That's not to say it won't be noticeable from a further distance.
