Talking klipsch / denon advice

ok so im looking at purchasing a new home theater system and what caught my eye was the klipsch XF series speakers. Also the type of receiver i was lookin at was the Denon AVR-3808 CI. The only downfall is that i really don't have any way of testing these products out so was looking at some input from some of you home theater experts out there on if this is a good investment or for me not to waste my money and just hold off for a while. Below are the links to the individual products. But the final package will consist of:

pair of XF-48 Floorstanders : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815460240
2 pairs of XB-10 Bookshelfs : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815460309
One XL-23 LCR Center Channel : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815460447
One XW - 500D Sub : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1203815459521
One Denon AVR-3808CI Receiver: http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/3510.asp

one thing to add...i dont plan on purchasing these till around november / december and they will not be made through best buy

meant to put this in audio section if someone could assist on moving that there =)

By the Nov/Dec timeframe the 3808 will probably be mostly replaced by the 3310/4310. You can probably get a heck of a deal on a top-notch AVR if you can still find it.

The Denon 3808 is a very nice receiver. I think they are going for around $1K now. I paid about $1600 out the door when I got mine.

You should be able to find a really good deal on them by then. Hopefully, some places will still have them available.

only thing i was worried about is if it was enough power to push all that stuff through?

I plan on using it for the interim with my new B&W's until I can afford a new amp. I believe Eddie.Nyce is using the 3808 with his B&W 700 Series speakers without issue.

I would go for it and then save for an external amp.

The Denon 3808CI has 135w per channel. That isn't enough? How big is your room?

I don 't have a lot of experience with different receivers but here are some of my favorite features of my 3808CI:

1) Input naming: You can actually name the inputs to match what consoles you have. For instance, at one point I had inputs named HD DVD, Bluray, TV, Wii, DVD, etc.

2) Input skipping: You can remove any unused inputs from the selection so when you scroll through them you don't have to scroll through any you aren't using.

3) 4 HDMI inputs.

4) Pretty decent user-friendly on screen display.

5) Ethernet connection for firmware updates.

Some things I don't like:

1) Large and heavy but weight is distributed to one side making it tricky to carry if you're not paying attention.

2) Terrible user manual that doesn't explain anything. You'll have to google the terms.

3) Not sure if this is the fault of the receiver or the sources but dialogue for Blurays is hard to hear compared to sound effects. Also, video games on my PS3 are much louder than blurays on my PS3. I even cranked up the center channel more than the Audessey room eq set.

I have Klipsch speakers & a Dennon receiver and love them both! They are a perfect match! You can take my word on it...everyone that comes over to see my theater says they can't believe how good it sounds!
