Klipsch? Or something similar. Advice. - Blu-ray Forum

I have a done a thread search on this came up dry.

OK. I did a little shopping yesterday, or I should say comparing shopping yesterday at Bestbuy. I have found from ust a little bit of sound sampling that I like the Klipsch Sub10. Retail for this sub is $400. I can get this off ebay for the same and also around $250. My question to you al is this. I know Polk makes good sub's and such and maybe some yamaha's as well. What I want to know is there any other subs out there around the same spec's as the Klipsch SUB10 for a cheaper price. I believe that the RMS rating on it is 250ish watts, and Peak rating is 400ish watts. Is there any other subs I'm not aware of that are down firing wiht the relativy same spec as that one.

Please let me know I will soon be in the market for a new Sub and want advice thanks.

I would actually say that Polk and Yamaha don't make very good subs. Klipsch subs seem to be liked by their owners. However, in terms of quality, the Hsu STF-2 or VTF-1 would probably be a similar but better purchase. They're down-firing as well.

I have a Klispch an love it one of my best friends has a HSU an he loves it
its a win win both are highly sought after by some in the threads, as well
as each are highly rated by sound and vision magazine
