Amazon preorder ?

I have odered the Next Generation Set on Blu ray from amazon. And the shipping date is Sept. 28th. It gets released a week prior to this date and was wondering doesen't Amazon ship out on the release date? What are some of your guys shipping date on this movie set from Amazon? Thanks

Typically I believe they ship out about a day in advance of the release date, so you should at least get it the week of release if you picked free shipping.

I have Prime and Amazon almost always ships out the day before and I receive it on the release date.

That's most likely the estimated arrival date that you're seeing, not shipping date.

Thats the one best about shopping with amazon, try getting your copy at the local store before the day of release.

Yeah, also If you have prime, I think everything's guaranteed to get to you the day it comes out.

Nope. I have Prime, and I always receive my preorders the day after release.

The only guarantee that Amazon makes with Prime is Overnight or 2 Day delivery for in stock items that are Prime eligible.

95% of the time, I receive Amazon Blu-ray pre-orders the day of release with Prime's free 2-Day shipping (actually, most of Amazon orders are received overnight). It all depends on where you live and which warehouse your order shipped from. Really the only time I have to wait 2 days is if my items ship from midwest or west coast warehouses. A majority of the time, those orders are video games or computer software.

It really depends what part of the US you live and and the location the item is being shipped from.

I lived in PA and I get new title on the day of release and yet I have order stocking items and had to wait a few days for them.
