Make sure that in the audio setup you have the DDTHD and DTSHD set to BITSTREAM, below that the SECONDARY AUDIO OUTPUT to OFF. On the receiver set it to Stream Direct/Auto Surround.

If that doesn't help then you may need to check what your surround decoding priorities are..(at least this is a feature I know Sony has) I would think there is something similar that allow for how audio is processed.

You may want to consult your recievers manual too if that doesn't help.

I have been looking at that receiver. After you get it all set can you give a little review. I am most interested in knowing if you are running 7.1 and will the receiver simulate the sixth and seventh speaker when playing a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track or DTS-HD 5.1 track.

Thanks.

Apply the direct stream for everything you have plugged into the receiver. Will make life easier! and the auto detect function works great as well. Hit the receiver button on the bottom of the remote and then the ALC/surround button maybe 3 or 4 rows up on the left, on the remote

Well so far with my 6.1 setup the back surround works with all 5.1 audio except DTS-HD Master and PCM 5.1 tracks, i hear 5.1 and not 6.1 and im not sure why.
