I just got the Samsung HL-T5676s and I have been all over the net looking for the HDMI version and whether or not it can display 24fps.
It is a very new model, can anyone please point me to a site that may have this info on it? Thanks in advance Last edited by Woody; 06-25-2007 at 01:17 AM. |

I suspect you mistyped the name. Doing a Google search on Samsung HL-T5676s got me the following URLs.
Looks like a sweeeeeeeeeeeet TV! Good Luck! http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759...039TX1K0000753 http://shopper.cnet.com/projection-t...-32432000.html |

hello- i bought the 5676s a few yrs ago, and i really have been happy w/ it. circuit city, $1900 if i remember right. so it has hdmi 1.1? whats the diff between that and 1.3? also, whats the diff. between 24 fps vs. 60 fps? isn't 60 fps going to produce a better picture? do the movie studios use 24 fps fore a particular reason?? sorry, im confused folks..... i do love my tv, i bet my bulb's about to go out tho,(2 yrs), so i'm gonna get a new 1 on ebay. thanks people!

I have a Samsung HL-T5676S. I bought it new from Vanns in March of 2008 for $1200. I can tell you that it does in fact have HDMI v1.1 inputs. Ther only thing your missing with these is deep color support. Most Blu ray discs don't offer this video feature anyway. It is only a 60 hz TV or 60p if you prefer. It will not display 24p. Movies are shot at 24 frames per second and TV is shot at 60 frames per second. A 60hz tv cannot appropriately display 24p because 24 does not divide evenly into 60. Hence 120HZ TV's, which can display TV at twice the frame rate and Blu-Ray or 24p at 5 times the frame rate. That's as simple as it gets.
