MultiZone Questions
I want to ask several questions about multizone setups that are unusual and I was wondering if anyone can help me out,as we all know with today's AV Technology we can Extend multiple Video And Audio components through the house, into different rooms,so why can't we do the same with are Video Game Consoles The Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3. I have both these consoles I got the PS3 first but I Will be using the Nintendo Wii to try to Explain what I want to achieve. I want to use the multizone features of the receiver to share components between the HT which will be in the living room and the bedroom,I want to be able to let someone use the HT and sometimes just Chill Out and play Video games in the bedroom and you might be wondering why do I want to have my Video Game Console in a different room well it's because when the cousin's come over and want to play Video Games they want to handle the Game Disk(s) themselves they sneak and get a game but I have been noticing scratches on my games,Sometimes they come when I am not home but since we live with my grandmother she let's them help themselves to my Game Collection so below is an Idea that came to me after much thought but I don't know if it's possible to Implement it yet. Video game Multi-Zone Ideas Nintendo Wii Multi-Zone Idea 1.The Video And Audio of the Nintendo Wii will be connected to the multizone inputs on the receiver 2.Now the sensor bar is the issue to solve that issue I was thinking of using the following products 1.Powered USB Hub 2.USB To Mini USB Adapter 3.Mini USB To USB Adapter 4.Mini USB Type Wall plate Now the steps to connect the above will go like this 1.Mini USB To USB Adapter 2.Powered USB Hub Will Act As Splitter 3.USB To Mini USB Adapter 4.Nintendo Wii With Sensor bar in Living Room 5.Mini USB Type Wall Plate 6.Second Wii Sensor Bar to Mini USB Type Wall Plate in bed room Will The Above setup work for what I want to do I know it sounds strange and confusing but what are your thoughts for this Multi Room Video Game Setup will I have any lag On Audio/Video/Controller Input I need your advice this is the biggest MultiRoom issue I am trying to solve any advice would help. Note:If this is possible I will post on Extending the Sony PS3 To my bedroom next,I choose the Wii first because I think the idea will be easier to Implement first than the PS3. As Always Thanks In Advance For Your advice and replys ![]() |
