Has anyone here purchased a major item (TV...) from Abt.com? How was your experience?

The return policy and online reviews look good, but so much is manipulated I like getting feedback from a forum.

I appreciate any reviews.

I haven't dealt with them online. However, I have dealt with them at their B&M location, and they are pretty much second-to-none in the Illinois area.

I have a friend that is an installer for Abt. I have worked with someone over email and they were extremely friendly.

Last year in September I purchased a Samsung 50inch 1080p DLP Tv from abt and the shopping experience and customer service was 100% they matched best buy and circuit city at the time with the price which it was $899.00 with tax their reps are well trained and they know what their talking about when questions are asked.

They were so nice they even asked me how much was I willing to spend on a HDMI cable and threw in one for $25.00 I live in

IL so I'm glad abt is close to my house.

The two Denon products and Mits DLP in my signature block were all bought at Abt. Excellent service and great pricing. Do not hesitate to show them a better price from a legitimate competitor.

I agree with the posts on ABT being a good retailer, however, their prices are very high. You pretty much have to request price matches on everything there. Check the web site and compare to other sites and you will see. I live in Chicago and always go there to ask questions and get good/reliable answers (compared the Best Buy for example - where I can't trust them further than I can throw them). But I end-up going somewhere else for the lower prices. This has happened with KEF speaker purchase, Plasma, and AV receiver. All were much cheaper elsewhere (mainly Vanns or even Best Buy). I do love ABT however!
