I was banned!! - Blu-ray Forum

I was banned from the Playstation Network for one month because my friend was over and went into Home on my PSN account and... did things worth banning someone over.

Anyways the suspension started on July 1st and today is August 1st and I still can't access my account. I didn't dispute the suspension with Sony because there's no way I could have proved that it was my friend doing it and not me, and yeah I should have been more responsible to stop him from doing it.

Either way, my punishment has been served!!! Any ideas?

A friend that is gonns do some crap like that is not a very good friend.

I'd say wait until tomorrow, and then see. If the suspension was for a full 744 hours, then maybe it hasn't finished yet.

What I want to know is what exactly did your friend do that caused him to get banned? There are some odd people wandering through Home, but I think you'd have to try really hard to get banned.

I'm also surprised that they banned you from the PSN rather than just Home, but I guess they want to teach a lesson by banning your entire account, so people who have no interest in Home will still be afraid to log into it just to cause some trouble.

It's tough. Sony can't really do much about it because anyone could then use this excuse....as big as a pain in the ass this may be, is it feasible to just create a new account?

This is of course assuming you are perma-banned.

In my whole time working as a City of Heroes GM and Ultima Online Account rep I never saw a single person who did what they were banned for. It was always their little brother or their friend.

Thanks for all the input everyone. My friend was visiting me here in Cali from Maryland so I already "got rid of him" haha.

And basically he was just saying very inappropriate things to pretty much everyone he came across. The ban was for sexual harassment so use your imagination.

I can't complain about their decision to suspend me and I actually kind of respect it... I just wish I could have respected it when Wipeout Fury and Fat Princess weren't released!!

Home is free and so is the PSN. I always create users for "friends" and have them create their own PSN accounts since its free. Let them play udner their own logins.
