Work IP Banned??? - Blu-ray Forum

Hello all. I have been frequenting the site for a few years, love Blu-ray.com.

Many times throughout the course of my time here I have viewed the website from work without incident. On monday I tried to access the forums and it says that my IP has been blocked? I know that we have no malicious software of any kind so I need to figure out what happened. I am posting now via my phone due to this issue. BTW, I'm sure the site admins are busy but I sent two emails to this effect this week and never received a response. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its funny i thought i had the same problem... when i type http://www.bluray.com I cant access the website... but when i type https://www.blu-ray.com I get in with no problems at all....

Thanks for the suggestion but the result is the same, banned IP. I wonder what changed? At any rate, it's nice to know I'm not the only one.

sorry to hear that... If i couldnt access blu-ray.com here at work i would go crazy..

i work for a company that has a gov't contract so we have a pretty strick webwasher deal on all of our computers.

i go to google and punch in blu-ray and go into the link that way.

no problems whats so ever.

of course they've caught onto what i'm doing all day and now i'm being watched!!

OP...the problem might be on your end at work and not Blu-ray.com...

Check some other sites that you normally frequent from work and see if thats ban too...

One of your IPs seems to be a larger gateway that several people uses, unfortunately other person's have been abusing the forums from that IP, which is why that specific IP is banned.

I have lifted this IP for now, but if we experience abuse from it again, we will need to ban it again.

Iceman I really appreciate you lifting the ban, sometimes this website is what gets me through the day. It's truly suprising that someone at work would abuse this site. It just goes to show you there's a douche everywhere you go. Wow, I couldn't even log into my profile with the ban, if there is a problem in the future hopefully there is a work around using my log in. Hopefully, no more issues though.
