Default Is it worth the money?

So I've been using my PS3 as my primary Blu-ray player for a while now. But I am currently moving into a brand new house where I am given full reign over my home theater setup. So far I'm going for the Samsung PN50B650 50" plasma TV with a Denon AVR-3808CI audio receiver. Obviously it's turning out to be very nice considering how much money I've gotten off on these products, so I've got about 700 dollars left over.

I just bought a Logitec Harmony One remote, and while beginning to set it up in premature excitement, and I noticed that if I wanted to control my PS3 as a Blu-ray player using it I would have to buy a 60 dollar add on... something I really don't want to do. I've also heard that the PS3 is not the best Blu-ray player I could really get, and if I used a different standalone player it would benefit me much more on video and audio quality if I really wanted to get the most out of my system.

So the question is... what should I do? Should I buy the addon for the PS3 for 60 dollars? Or should I buy a standalone Blu-ray player for however much it would cost... maybe the Panasonic DMP-BD35?

I apologize for any confusing language and whatnot, I'm a little hopped up on pain killers.
