You can go on amazon.com and put an order, proceed to checkout and youll see how much the shipping cost, without having to pay it right now .. . you can cancel your order after.
I live in Canada too and when i ordered from amazon.co.uk shipping was like 6$, so it guess it should be around the same for amazon.com |

I would do a test buy on the item that you want and see how much and how long...you can always cancel before the final process of the transaction. |

The final price that Amazon.com will give you though I am sure will be in US dollars. Amazon.com will not convert it for you you would see the conversion on your monthly credit card bill.
The following link I give you gives the ability to punch in a dollar amount in any known currency and convert it to Canadian or any other currency. Take the USD amazon.com gives you for a total and change it over to CAN and you should know your final price: http://www.xe.com/ucc/ |

Yes. And Amazon.com forces you to pre-pay it.
I recently had an Amazon.com certificate that I had to use. Here's the breakdown: Price of two movies $19.48 US Shipping and handling $10.97 US Import fees deposit $3.06 US Total $33.51 US Then convert to CAD to end up with over $36 for two movies costing under $20 US. |

Every order starts with a $4.99 charge just for ordering. Every movie is an additional $2.99. Then they add a deposit for import fees at the end. You are better off ordering from someone like Deep Discount sometimes. |

There is no such thing as "free shipping" for us Canadians at Amazon.com but the more items you place in one order the lower your shipping costs will be.
Personally i've stopped using them since they started charging import fees. It's actually cheaper to order from Amazon.uk. For example I got three Dirty Harry movies for like $46 cdn ![]() Last edited by Shanester; 09-07-2009 at 10:07 AM. |

+1....I've been ordering from Tower.com or CDUniverse (both U.S.-based) -- no import fees charged....pricing is similar to Amz.com, but shipping is a flat $4.99 per title, and shipping times tend to be longer than Amz.
