Great movie!

One question though, as much as I love JJL, is there a movie she's in where she doesn't play a strung out junkie *****?

Yes, "Fast Times At Ridgemont High." Now, back to "The Machinist."

FTARH is one, off the top of my head eXistenZ is another great choice. One of my favorite movies. Hudsucker Proxy as well, another one of my favorites. Speaking of which, when the hell are they going to finally be on BD? ;p

An awesome movie, and the cover looks fantastic...much better artwork when compared to the DVD version.

Er, which she's in, therefore, ergo, my question was in fact relevant...

New cover looks creepy and eerie in a way. I much would have preferred the official DVD cover.

Not necessarily, its a warped up movie but not necessarily creepy or eerie as Gummo or SPUN, for instance. The Machinist is a typical Hollywood driven drama.

Not sure if this is worth a purchase as it's one of those see-once titles.

The Machinist is a great film that I cannot wait to add to my Blu-ray library. Nice cover art too!

idk, i personally think the cover art clearly represents the dark mood of bale's character's world, his torment and confusion. just me tho

I liked it well enough but if I bought it, it would probably just become a decoration.

Typical Hollywood driven drama??

Not even close to being a typical anything, much less Hollywood driven seeing as Bale wasn't a big star when it was made.

Before The Machinist, Bale had a good presence in the industry with Equilibrium, Reign of Fire, and Shaft. Which were all typical Hollywood action flicks..

I figured someone was going to get insulted by my post, haha. The Machinist was incredible film making in all do respect, and its the founded best role Bale has ever committed himself to. Deliberately speaking, The Machinist is really not a Hollywood driven movie (as I commented before), it comes from Paramount Classics which is under an umbrella branch of Independent film making within Paramount Pictures.
