Real Canadian Superstore has a no tax event this weekend

I know weird post on a blu-ray forum, but you can save the tax on a ps3 purchase or even some blu-ray movies or games or blu-ray players

not sure if its nation wide, but its happening in Ontario, so we save 13%

Too bad they have almost no Blu-ray selection and their pricing is ridiculous to begin with.

They probably will have some in stock. I got the 80GB model with MotorStorm included for $499, not one cent more during the No Tax event a couple years ago or so.

DEFINATLY worth picking up the slim with this deal... saves you about 30-40 bucks with no tax. i'm considering it given the recent problems i've had with my system

Well they're getting a little better with selection and I find there pricing is the same as FS/BB most of the time. They had some decent Blu-ray bin sales as well.

At the one on Dundas/Trafalgar in Oakville their selection is limited to a 4-sided display ...two sides of which are blocked (?). They had plenty of the new PS3 Slims though. Did I read correct that it comes with a 120gb HDD?

Yeah that's about the same amount as I see but they do seem to get in most of the big weekly new releases.

FYI to anyone in Alberta, whenever superstore has these deals they usually do "save double the GST" so basically it would be $285 for the new PS3.

Here in Ontario at least the tax free event at Superstore is all day Saturday and Sunday.

at that price its much better than getting a stand alone blu-ray player

you shoulda gotten the slim. did you purchase an extended warranty from them for your system? i found it to be worth doing so given the troubles with mine lately. do they even offer it?

I refuse to buy from them they offer a 14 day warranty unless they changed there system this past year
