Real Canadian Superstore Bargain Bin YMMV - Blu-ray Forum

I was at RCSS and strolled through the electronics section to find a bargain bin full of blu-rays on sale. The movies were in rows and separated, so that means it was shipped from the distributor, and not just a junk bin. I found the entire Bond movies to date for $12.99 each in the bin. (I only needed the two not released in the volume sets.) Many titles like Deliverance, Wild Bunch, TMNT, etc. were only $9.99. There was quite a good and decent selection in there.

I hope more of you can find some bargains there too. Canada needs them for sure.

Which RCSS was this at? I'll check the one on Trafalgar & Dundas in Oakville to see if they have it. I'll let you know later today what I find so the boys from GTA West can have a idea.

Did they have Casino Royale in there? If so, was it the first release or the newer Collectors Edition?

RCSS in Steeles/Dufferin has lots in their bin. Mostly in the $10-12 range.

I saw it this weekend but many of them are used blu-rays. There's a blue and white sticker on it that says used.

They had The faculty, seven at 9.99 and others.... The used one are 14.99, there's some at 12.99 (like james bond movie, no Casino Royal though) and 9.99.

i'll probably check a local one out although if they are used its not that 'great' depending on what i find considering i've seen some of these titles at or below the mentioned priced new before....hopefully i luck out

There were a handful of previewed blu's there, but 90% were new. The two latest Bonds weren't there, but the catalog Bonds were. Basically all the ones in the boxed sets and the two extras not in the sets.

Not sure on the prices of any of those.

just got back from RCSS. i picked up Dr. No, Goldfinger and the world is not enough

they had a bunch more, moonraker, from russia with love, thunderball etc..

Theres also a lot of other titles i would've bought if i didnt have them already, it's definatly worth checking out if you have one in ur area. btw i was at don mills and eglinton location.

just a head's up that yesterday and today they have a no tax event so the blu-rays on this bin end up even cheaper overall

sorry i didnt get to post this until today but i didnt think about the blu-rays until i saw them as i was going for something else....and then i got home and watched my habs....and i wasnt in the mood for much of anything after the game

for $9.99. Was tempted, but was unsure about the transfer quality of VLV.

Okay, I caved.

Read the review for VLV and it was really good. Best Buy had it for $25.99, so I went back to RCSS (tax-free today) and picked up VLV for $9.99.

Anyone here checked out Ann-Margret!? Wowzers!

I picked up Angel Heart for 12.99 in the bin, which also had a bunch of 9.99 Warner/Eastwood titles, plenty of Bonds w/ & w/o slipcovers, a sole copy of Baraka for 14.99, a few Liongate titles like Cutthroat Island for 12.99 & Bangkok Dangerous for 14.99. Not to forget the Alliance titles like Equilibrium, The Illusionist, The Cell & Blade films.

Well it seems they have some blu-ray's back and insanely silly pricing, most are $3, and some decent titles like 'taken 2' which Giant Tiger was doing 4.99 I think.
